Properly labeling an off-grid PV system is important for safety of users and anyone who may work on the system. Proper labels convey important information about a system (voltages, available current, power sources, disconnects, circuit destination) that can help someone use, maintain, or troubleshoot a system. There are various different labels that should be applied to a PV system, although for small systems and systems where all equipment is located in the same space it often makes sense to combine them for simplicity. Labels should be durable and protected against damage. Leaving behind manuals and system schematics with the system is also recommended.
