Welcome to The Open Source Solar Project

OSSP is an collaborative, open effort to gather information on photovoltaic system design, installation and use to improve practices and safety in areas where there are not well-developed standards or appropriate training available. The material here is intended to serve as both a direct resource, but also as a readily-adaptable base for the development of training materials that are tailored to the needs and standards of a particular area. Thus all information should strive to avoid being overly site specific, should be at a level of that is accessible to a broad audience with a focus on practicality derived from lessons and best practices in the field. OSSP is open and license-free running on the same platform as Wikipedia, just sign up and register to start contributing.
